National Investigating Agency (NIA) has got a big success in the Pulwama terror attack case. The agency has arrested the helper of suicide bomber named Adil Ahmad Dar. He is the same person who planned the Pulwama attack. Last year, 40 CRPF personnel lost their lives in this brutal attack.
The name of this helper is Shakir Bashir Magrey and he is 22-year-old. He is an over ground worker of Jaish-e-Mohammed terror group that has its roots in Pakistan. According to NIA, Shakir Bashir Magrey runs a furniture shop in Kakapora area of Pulwama in J&K. He reportedly provided accommodation and other logistical support to the suicide-bomber.
As per the NIA, a Pakistani terrorist named Mohammad Umar Farooq introduced Shakir to Adil Ahmad Dar in the mid of year 2018. Mohammad Umar Farooq conscripted him as a full-time over ground worker of the alleged terrorist group.
In the preliminary interrogation, the helper has revealed that he gathered and sent armaments, ammos, cash and explosives to the terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammed militancy group who carried out Pulwama attack.
Accused Shakir Bashir Magrey has also disclosed that he had kept Adil Ahmad Dar and Pakistani terrorist Mohammad Umar Farooq in his home from late 2018 till the launched of attack in February 2019. He also helped them in preparing IED.
His shop locates near Lethpora bridge. Mohammad Umar advised asked him to keep an eye on the movement of CRPF convoy on Jammu-Srinagar Highway in January 2019. He provided information to Mohammad Umar and Adil Ahmad Dar regarding the convoy of CRPF personnel on 14 February, last year.
Moreover, he also helped to make changes in the Maruti Eeco car and deployed the IED in it in early February, 2019.
NIA did the forensic examination of the minute fragments of the alleged car collected from the location during prolonged searches to be sure about the make, model and the number of the car.
NIA presented the accused before the NIA Special Court at Jammu on Friday. The agency has demanded the remand of 15 days for the accused for getting more information from him.
