The impacts of the Delhi riots are still ongoing. On Sunday (today), some BJP workers raised the hate disgorging slogan “goli maaro” in a rally addressed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Kolkata. Amit shah favored the controversial CAA act in this rally. He also blamed CM Mamata Banerjee to trigger violence and burn trains for preventing the CAA law.

Some men wearing saffron waved BJP flags and raised the alleged slogans in between this rally. The rough translation of this slogan can be done as “shoot all betraying the country”. The video recording of that particular place also shows a policeman guiding the gathering.

Abhishek Banerjee, nephew of Mamata Banerjee soon retaliated after Amit Shah attacked Mamata Banerjee during his speech.

He said, “Mr Shah, Bengal is better off without bigotry and hatred that BJP is trying to spread”.

One of the key reasons behind recently flared Delhi riots is the hate speeches given by some BJP workers. It began as a clash between the Pro CAA and Anti CAA protesters. This act provides Indian citizenship to the minorities of all religions coming from Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh except Muslims.

Delhi violence continued for more than four days. The protesters of both sides armed with iron rods, stones, and hockey sticks raged on the streets of National Capital. These riots left 43 people dead and more than 250 injured.

Kolkata city is also witnessing the many Anti CAA protests similar to Shaheen Bagh. CM Mamata Banerjee has herself opposed this law several times. She also held many marches to protest this law in the Kolkata city and other areas.
