On Wednesday, the PML-N and PPP leaders said that unconstitutional appointments of two members of the Election Commission of Pakistan will be opposed during the joint session of the National Assembly. Apart from this, the issue of not presenting the arrested MPs will also be raised. PPP leader Saeed Naveed Qamar said that it is very difficult to conduct a peaceful joint session of the National Assembly.
Pakistan newspaper Dawn quoted PML-N information secretary Maryam Aurangzeb as saying that the ruling government of Pakistan invited the controversy by appointing members of the Election Commission illegally.
